‘Suicide Kings’ Loot Rules
(aka ‘My Rolls Suck, But It Won’t Matter’ Rule)

With SK loot rules, players will avoid all the trappings of random rolls and somebody receiving the lions-share of loot. At the start of the campaign, all players taking a REGULAR part in the weekly raiding will ‘/roll’. Raid leader will then make a table of all the players rolling from best (position #1) to worst (position #12), and this will form the basis for spreading out loot winnings.

Part A: with the first list (best/worst), the player with position #1 will get FIRST choice of Radiance Armor coins. Typically the Watcher drops a Helm and Shoulder coin, but so far I’ve seen two instances where the Helm coin dropped twice (and no Shoulders). The player in #2 position will get the other coin.
Ex. (6-person ‘raid’)
1. Fingo
2. Curathir
3. Bavori
4. Ironsbane
5. Isobell
6. Hiran
Fingo would take Helm, Curathir would take Shoulders. At this point, all players would move up TWO positions and Fingo/Curathir would occupy positions #5 and #6 respectively. Oh, but hold on, what about the Emblems?!? Hang on there hotpants…

Part B: with the second list, the order is REVERSED (worst/best) for handing out 1st Age Emblems.
Ex. (same 6-person ‘raid’ as above)
1. Hiran
2. Isobell
3. Ironsbane
4. Bavori
5. Curathir
6. Fingo
As you can see, rolling poorly from the get go gives you the best chance at a 1st Age, so turn that frown upside-down. As with the Armor Coin list, top spot gets choice of how many Emblems he/she wants. Typically DPS classes want 6 for their first go around, while TAC classes are better served with 4 (all things being equal). It’s totally up to the earning player how many he/she chooses, but be realistic…taking 6 Emblems for a Minstrel book is bad form. However many are leftover go to the next player on the list and the winner moves to the bottom as above. IMPORTANT: this list also assumes all coins gotten from the Turtle run THAT night are pooled into the pot. So any coins received at the Turtle are given to whoever is #1 on the list at that moment in time.

Caveats, Hiccups, and Oopsies

It’s inevitable that we will have A) more ‘regulars’, and B) PUG-alicios help. These are the rules governing each:

‘Wait, we have 14!’ - The initial list is made as normal. All 14 regulars make their respective rolls and the table(s) are created accordingly. The 2 members’ NOT taking part in the run that night have their positions frozen. So, using example A above, if Ironsbane did not come, he would remain at #4 while Isobell and Hiran move ahead of him (assuming 2 coins dropped). This assures each and every person taking an ACTIVE part in the run that night are benefiting from the time spent. Will Ironsbane get his coin? Absolutely…eventually.

‘I’m a temp thank you very much!’ – If at any point, the raid requires a stand-in, the loot rules change slightly to provide the newbie a chance at glory. In essence, he/she would roll as if the raid was purely PUG-style loot rolling. In case of the armor coins, that person would need to be in the top TWO to win a piece. For the Emblems, he/she would need to roll high enough to win one of the Emblems available (ex. If 4 dropped, his/her roll must be in the top FOUR). After the stand-in’s winnings are calculated, all remaining items are then given to the regulars as per the normal SK loot table.

Lastly, for any of the TEAL items that drop, they are purely open rolls for your class. If an item drops for a class (like a 2nd Age) that isn’t in-raid, the alts with same class-type may open/greed roll. That last part should be pretty straightforward. The use of SK gives everybody equal chances at obtaining said loot. People at the top of the table initially win armor, bottom feeders win LI’s. People in the middle may have to wait a little longer, but are given more loot in a shorter time span when their name comes around. It’s fair…what more could you want?
